Hi. My Name is Jim, and I’m a Gagetholic.
I’ve been obsessed by technology for most of my life. I can still remember as a kid getting one of those 150 in one project kits from Radio Shack for my Birthday and building most if not all of the projects. As I’ve grown up, I’ve focused on computers and home tech including Audio-Video. Unfortunately, since I don’t have a high six figure income, I’ve had to be creative with my tech solutions, often coming up with 90% of the functionality of a high end turnkey system at 10% of the price.
I do like my technology though and in this blog, I plan to talk about stuff that I have and share my personal experiences using it. I’ll also offer articles on tips and techniques for accomplishing certain tasks.
My “professional” background includes 4 years as the co-host of The Mind of Men podcast where tech was one of the areas that I covered.
In this blog, I plan to talk about the technology that I use on a regular basis. I probably won’t often review the newest “hot” product simply because I’m not going to post a review until I’ve had some time to kick the tires. When I do post a review, I’ll try and cover all of the good and bad points so that you can come to an informed decision yourself.
